This is a demonstration trial. It is provided for evaluation only and the data handling below describes how the trial works today.
Privacy & data handling
Last updated 31 May 2026
The short version
We do not store the CVs, job specs or notes you put into this tool. They are processed in memory to produce your documents and then discarded. We do not use your data to train any AI model.
What leaves your computer
The CV and any job-spec files you add are read in your browser — the files themselves never leave your machine. Only the plain text extracted from them (plus any notes you type) is sent to our server to generate the documents. The finished Word documents are assembled back in your browser and downloaded directly to you.
How the text is processed
To structure the CV and write the cover page, the extracted text is sent to OpenAI's API. Two things are worth knowing:
- It is not used for training. Content sent to the OpenAI API is not used to train its models.
- It is processed in the United States and may be retained by OpenAI for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, after which it is deleted. During the trial we have not enabled UK/EU data residency, so candidate text is processed outside the UK/EU.
Our own server does not write your CV or spec content to any database or file — it is held only for the few seconds it takes to generate your documents.
What we do keep
Access is limited to invited testers via a sign-in. For security and to prevent abuse, our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, timestamps and basic request information). These logs do not contain CV or job-spec content.
Your responsibility
Because candidate data is processed outside the UK/EU during the trial, please only upload information you are authorised to share on that basis, and make any disclosures to candidates that your own data-protection obligations require.
